Our book is Out!

Six years ago, at the infancy of my professional career I was going through a crisis. I was not not sure which direction my bondage was going. Looking for inspiration I came across a video that challenged the foundations of what I believed bondage needed to be. After some research I discovered that the kinbakushi in the video was called Akira Naka. I started to watch obsessively all the videos from him that I could find; I wanted to tie like him, I wanted my bondage to look like his. Of course I had no idea of how to tie his patterns, so I attempted to emulate the same emotional reactions and moods.

A year later, in 2013, I met Naka Sensei in person during a festival in Moscow. Our connection was instantaneous despite the language barrier. That encounter changed my bondage and my whole life. I devoted myself to learning his style and one year later I started visiting him in Tokyo to learn directly from him. He made me his Ichiban Deshi (primary disciple). He gave me the name 利 狩 人

Naka Sensei became very soon more than a teacher for me; he became a mentor, a friend, family. He allowed me to build a successful career and helped me through my hard times. He made many of my dreams come true like performing at Nawa Naka Kai or at Maniac Festival in Tokyo. He introduced me to Sugiura Norio Sensei, the legend of bondage photography, and I was lucky enough to establish a good relationship with him.
I owe Naka Sensei a lot.

Being the Ichiban Deshi of such a legend is no easy task, there is honour and pride certainly, but also a great responsibility to remain faithful to his teachings. I try to keep up with Naka Sensei's high standards, to promote the human values he taught me, in bondage and in life. I try to make the style live and evolve and spread the love for it throughout the world.

I created this book to celebrate 5 years of meeting Naka Akira Sensei.

I am not a photographer but I decided to shoot the images myself as the use of a photographer would have showed their vision and not mine. I did not want to simply imitate the work of the great masters, have people say “great work, it looks like the one of XXX”. Therefore I avoided using their lighting schemes and all the props that are so typical of Japanese bondage photography. I used one simple light on a side, not to be moved around, allowing me to concentrate just on the tying. I also avoided Japanese clothes on the non Japanese models. There was no discussion about what the models would wear, they all wore what they felt most comfortable or creative in because I wanted to show their individuality and their own innovative input to this book.

Post-work has been minimal. I wanted the rope-work to be about the models and to be real, so no image is posed. I wanted to have that recognizable Naka Style feeling and yet give the rope a clear personal nuance.

I followed no plan in creating the ties, I let the models inspire me. Some rope came up messy, some neat, some erotic, some sadistic and some very cuddling. I tried to tie with an empty mind, one rope at the time, enjoying the process, to celebrate each model's uniqueness and beauty.

The result is in these pages, that celebrate five years of having met my teacher and friend. I felt that it was time to document how far along in my rope journey I have come, not a beginning or an end, rather a period of reflection.

Masterclass!

Why?

In the last two years we have been travelling a lot around Europe doing classes and workshops. Some of our students have loved our style and or pedagogy so much that they are always eager to have more. Unluckily travelling abroad for private class is very expensive and not always practical.

Also often during workshops the level of participants is very  varied, with a lot of beginners and therefore we cannot offer very advanced topics. This penalizes our most advanced students.

For this reason we had more and more requests, during the last period, for a Masterclass and we decided to accept the challenge.

This Masterclass offers intensive training, advanced topics and will be attended only by confirmed riggers. The best way to have a full immersion in our system.

 

When, where?

8 to 12 October 2014 in Prague.

We chose Prague because it’s a perfect city for a Masterclass. First of all the currency change is very favorable to people from the Euro zone. This means that food and other expenses are very convenient. In other cities of Europe 5 days of hotel, food and transport can cost thousands of Euros.   In Prague this will be very cheap.

Also Prague is a touristic city, there are low cost flights from most European cities at convenient rates and plenty of small cheap hotels.

The metro system is clean, fast and cheap, and our venue is a just 400mt from a metro station, so no problem moving from and to the city center or your hotel.

And do not forget Prague is beautiful, so well worth a visit!

How much?

The price for the 5 days is 500 Euros. Considering that our workshops of 4 hours range between 120 and 140 euros per couple, and that our private tuition costs 60 Euro per hour the math is easy…  7 hours a day of intensive advanced teaching for 100 Euros. Bargain!

And as mention above we have chosen a city that will make your travel and stay affordable.

What can you expect to learn?

As our followers know Wildties has developed his own personal style. His rope is directly inspired from Naka Ryu, with a little bit more dynamism and transitions that come from his previous styles. Also communication and body handling are done in a very personal way that made his shows so appreciated throughout Europe. Also he is known for the excellent aesthetics, so powerful and traditional in look, that have granted him compliments from more than one Japanese master.

All this is what we call the LuXuria system, and this Masterclass is an intensive journey in our way of tying. We will cover all the technical part of some of the most traditional suspensions as well of some of our own personal ones. Floorwork in Semenawa style will not be neglected as well as some of the most extreme techniques for rope torture.

Aesthetics is so important for us that a part of everyday work will be focus on this subject. Through the use of multimedia as videos and pictures, we will analyze all the main concepts of Japanese rope aesthetics.

One of our main prides is that we teach people how to play and have fun and kinky sex through rope. This is why we will talk and teach extensively our communication and body handling techniques.

Every subject will be covered in a much deeper way that in usual workshops. The workshop is entirely in English but you can expect some translation in Czech, French or Italian when needed.

 

Requirements for riggers/models?

In order to participate you must be a confirmed rigger. If we do not know you personally we require you to send us a link to an uncut video featuring a full suspension. This is a very advanced class and it does not fit everybody. Attending without the necessary basis would slow down other participants as well as being dangerous for your model.

Models too need to be experienced. They must be fit and with a good experience in suspension. We will do some very tough Semenawa rope work and especially we will do lots of hours a day of training. Please consider well you experience before asking to participate.

Only 10 places are available, and, at the moment of issuing this document, 5 are already gone. So if you are interested hurry up and book your Kinbaku LuXuria Masterclass.

 

How is the venue?

The venue is incredibly well equipped. Unlike many workshops were single suspension points are provided, this venue will have plenty of bamboo beams, which fits better our style. There are also vertical post that we will use to tie some very traditional Japanese ties that very rarely we can show elsewhere due to the lack of this architectural feature.

The space is big, everybody will work comfortably.

We will have a projector for all the multimedia contents.

The venue is 400 mt from a metro station.

All info on how to get to the venue will be given privately to participant.

 

 

What to bring?

To take full benefit from our masterclass you should bring at least 10 pieces of rope. Jute is preferred to hemp. Diameter between 5 and 6mm. Length can vary between 7 and 8 meters though our recommendation (for average size models) is around 7,30 mt. Loose or medium lay rope fits better our style, please avoid super tight layed double ply rope.  Bring rope that you already broke in, we will tie a lot and it must be easy on your hands and on the model.

Safety sheers or rescue hook. Mandatory.

While you can bring gear like rings and karabiners it will not be used. We will tie in our own style so either on bamboo, beams, posts or on rope rigging points.

A mat if you want to be comfortable on floorwork. We will not provide the because we never use them.

Comfortable clothes for tops and bottoms.

Report From Portugal!

Teaching at Lisbon Fetish Weekend has been one of the best experiences we have ever done! We had a great success and met some of the best and most friendly people!

We arrived in Lisbon on Friday night quite late and MasterM__ picked up us at the airport. He drove us to the venue were the festival was already started and we had a chance to meet the organizers MikeG, isabel and MistressPatrizia that also run the website http://www.consensual.org.pt, an educational project for the  Portuguese BDSM community.

The venue was a huge facility, very high ceilings, and fantastic wooden floor. A beautiful exposition of illustrations from some of the most famous BDSM artists was in display and 5  award winning short bdsm themed movies were projected. We had a little time to socialize and then we were drove the our hotel, a beautiful luxury one, but before we had a nice car tour of the town's city center.

Unluckily by that time Wildties started having the symptoms of a a very bad throat ache and uprising fever.

The day started with a great big breakfast and the MasterM__ came to pick us up. We went to the venue for a private tuition with MikeG and MasterM__. Subject of class were hishi gote shibari, face up suspension and futomomo suspension. Despite we have abandoned this style for our shows and are dedicating ourselves to Naka Ryu presently, it is still fun to teach these things. The fast progress made by the students and the two spacey models enjoying the inverted suspension gave us a great satisfaction.

After class we had time to rest and have some great Portuguese food while the organizers starting setting everything for our show. I was quite surprised to see them pack the room were the performance was to be held with chairs. It seemed unlikely that a kinbaku show would attract more than a handful of people in such a community, so new to BDSM and were rope is practiced just by very few people. But believe it or not the job these guys have done has been so amazing that 100 people filled every possible space in the room! 100 people willing to pay for our show, most of them totally new to rope. Wow, MikeG and the others did such an incredible job!

Wildties fever was rising, but the show had to go on. Good new was that finally we were given a full hour for our show. We are not theater actors, nor we are interested any more in circus bondage. We need our session to be built slowly. Finally we had all the time we needed! Bad news was that we had planned to use a takatekote instead of a gote (arms crossed high in back vs arms parallel to the ground) in show for the first time. But Redsabbath had never tried that arm position for such a long time. Wildties was quite worried but the little redhead is as tough as a nail and wanted to go for it. Also it was going to be our first show entirely in Naka Ryu, 7mt ropes, no use of the bite, etc., so this was adding an extra challenge.

We entered on stage hand in hands, Redsabbath knelt on the floor and was tied in a strict tk. Wildties tied the rigging line and left there there for a bit. That arm position is very powerful on her head, makes her space, she loves to feel it and needs also time for her body to adapt. When raised to standing position and main suspension line was adjusted accordingly, Wildties tied the 3rd rope to the tk. Redsabbath was looking so fucking beautiful in that traditional tk.

After that point memory fades… Fever, emotions, the palpable tension in the audience. We just remember that she went through three of our favorite positions, the split, the one with the leg up high and an inversion with a body lacing. She had pleasure and she had pain. Gags, bastinado, whipping, crotch rope. We were honestly so lost in our session that we could not even describe it, so many details are too confused. When we finished Wildties was worried… He had lost sense of time and thought he had performed only 20 minutes. It was a shock when organizers said that he had gone through all his appointed hour.

Feedback we received after the show (and are still receiving) is stunning. What touches us the most is the number of people that said that they had seen many bondage show before us and always found them boring, aerial performance that was in no way sexy. While our show was loved and made hot even those BDSMers that were not into rope. Also there was a guy that saw a show a year ago at FIP party, when Wildties had just moved to Paris. Though not a rope guy he saw the difference. His description of what changed in our style since then nailed exactly what we are trying to convey to the public. Transitions and fly around were fun, but that's not why we started rope. And now we are showing exactly what we love of rope: beautiful suffering, lovely squirming, pain, shame, intimacy. Most people did not believe we did not rehearse the show (we did not even know we had an hour of time until few minutes before going on stage), and this is a good proof of how everything was fluid and natural.

After show some wine was served and believe it or not the organizers transformed the room in a great play space in just half an hour! The spent month building equipment, so good such I've seen in very few parties in Europe. All kind of benches, bondage devices, cages etc. A great party started and believe me it was one of the best I've seen. Unluckily Wildties fever by that time was really high and we could not stay much. Before going though Redsabbath wanted to try a sensory deprivation box. Just cause the beating she had in show was not enough she got some more in the box. Wildties would have loved to tie the beautiful Portuguese girls but he could barely stand so we left for the hotel to have some rest.

The following morning we had a little tour downtown and ate some great fish. Lisbon is beautiful and we hope to have a chance to visit it properly.

Despite the party ended at 5am the night before we had a good number of people attending the workshop. We spent 5 hours doing good ropes and having fun. We talked a lot about safety, connection, bondage for sex etc. We had a lot of positive feedback and many people wrote to us willing to visit Italy for private class in the future.

Evening ended with a great typical Portuguese dinner in a wonderful restaurant with the organizers. Useless to say it was delicious.

These people are building a new community, facing all the difficulties you can imagine, and they are doing an awesome job. All their didactic and artistic initiatives are contributing to raise the level of the scene in Portugal in a huge way. I have no doubts that Lisbon Fetish Weekend will soon become one of the main fetish events in Europe.
